Our Story:

Rebbeck is a leading commissioning support consultancy committed to transforming healthcare and public services to enhance population outcomes. Our team collaborates with leading healthcare and public sector organisations in Australia and around the world, delivering strategic and pragmatic guidance. We empower our clients to provide long-lasting change that improves outcomes for their communities.

Due to continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Director - Health Strategy to join our team on a full-time basis.

Your Next Opportunity:

As a Director - Health Strategy, you will lead the delivery of our largest and most complex projects with a range of clients across health and other public services. You will direct a specialist team of consultants through your experienced and expert advice, drawing on years of consulting or major program delivery. You will be intrinsically motivated by commissioning and system reform to improve outcomes for the people our clients serve.

You will have significant leadership responsibilities for the effective running of the firm and stewardship of the team. You will be the third most senior person in the organisation after the two partners. The right candidates can expect a supported transition into the partnership in line with meeting company and individual performance targets.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the development of high-quality client project proposals from investigation through pursuit and into delivery.
  • Directing the delivery of client projects ensuring high-quality deliverables, happy clients, maintaining a productive and engaged consultant team, managing risk mitigation and issue resolution and instructing the team on relevant methodologies.
  • Developing and maintaining positive long-term relationships with clients and other stakeholders to build several target client accounts.
  • Providing a significant contribution to business operations and practice development to support the continued growth of the company and the team.
  • Mentoring mid-grade consultants (e.g. Manager and Senior Manager) to support their personal development and career progression.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

With tertiary qualifications, you will have 10+ years of consulting experience or relevant experience working on strategic projects with health and/or public service clients. You will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to translate complex issues to your stakeholders into simple and understandable forms
  • Be able to enhance the development of the company and the team with your relevant but unique expertise and experience
  • Be able to make a significant contribution to revenue targets from Day 1, using your expert knowledge and past relationships
  • Foster a positive working environment through aligned values and kind leadership
  • Bring a specialised understanding of one or more of Australia's health or public services landscapes. Candidates with experience from other jurisdictions are also highly regarded.

As a successful Director with Rebbeck, you will demonstrate highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. You will have an inquisitive nature and a commitment to continuous learning. You will be able to work independently and alongside a highly skilled and motivated team.

Rebbeck is committed to increasing the diversity of our leadership team. If your background or identity is typically underrepresented in leadership positions and don’t believe you meet all of the above criteria we encourage you to still submit an application or get in touch with us.

Be Rewarded:

In addition to a competitive salary of circa $200,000 - $220,000 p.a. (commensurate with skills and experience) + bonuses + superannuation, you will receive a host of generous benefits from Rebbeck, including:

  • Flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid work model that allows you to work from home, client sites, Sydney HQ, Melbourne, or Perth
